Introducing...

For those of you who know me from my previous blog, Dream of Living, thanks for joining us over here at our new home on the internet! For everyone else - thanks for taking the time to pop by and meet us.

I, Amanda, have been blogging for several years now but I always seemed to lose direction and coherence. My posts would ramble on in random directions and I would go for long stints without posting anything at all. I would write about what I thought was "readable" and hold the things I longed to share back in notebooks and conversations with Tim.

These conversations led to Tim deciding he'd like to take an active part in my blog and the idea to start a joint one and have a fresh start was a real buzz. But what would we blog about? I love
to sing, write, and create and Tim loves to take photographs, listen to me sing and ask me what it is I am creating. He is the one who brings me back down to earth when my creativity takes full hold of me and I forget that life doesn't always work the way I want it to, whilst still encouraging me to let it all out and share it with others. So that's what we're going to do. I will create and Tim will record, ask questions and share with you all the random knowledge he has (which is staggering really when I think just how much random knowledge he possesses!)

Me and You is about our life together - we only started on this journey such a short time ago and already it has thrown us many twists and turns to deal with. Yet here we are, at number 22, loving the life we have chosen. Join us as we try to figure out all the "adult" things in our life - paying the rent, keeping house, growing vegetables and keeping the weeds at bay. And enjoy with us the fruits our of labours - the days off, the garden, the times with friends and the things we create.

And if you want a list of what's to come, here's a little teaser:
  • Projects around the house and garden
  • Videos of singing, crafts and more
  • Stories and poems to read (and listen to)
  • Photos to admire (and print if you like)
  • Giveaways and prizes (when we're feeling really generous!)
Oh, and a little smidgen of madness too!
